Rikuo is a charismatic individual with the ability to pull out the inner strength in those around him which is considered to be the true strengh of the blood of Nurarihyon. He is analytical, mischievious, shrewd, intelligent, wise, but also care free, easy going, friendly, compassionate, and trusting to those who have earned it. Rikuo is said to have a heart more like a human which allows him to love both humans and yokai equally, and he has a self-sacraficing nature.
There are key characteristic differences between his day and night forms though. During the day Rikuo is more humble, care free, and compassionate; however, at night he is more cunning, prideful, arrogant (with good reason) and more of a leader.
~History~
Nura Rikuo is the heir to a great legacy passed on to him through the death of his father, Nura Rihan, as well as his grandfather, Nurarihyon. Due to his diluted blood, Rikuo only be a quarter yokai, there were many disputes as to whether the child would be strong enough to inherit the Nura Clan Yokai Yakuza and take up the mantle of the Third Head and future Master of all Spirits and Yokai; however, an incident during his childhood had the young heir transform into his yokai form one night and lead his retainers into battle against a traitorous yokai who sought to kill him, his friends, and take the position of Third for himself. From their Rikuo has experienced a transition period where he lost interest in becoming the leader of his clan and wished to simply be human, thinking yokai to be nothing but evil. However, that period of time did not last long for the boy...
By the time he was thirteen the wheels of fate started to move into his direction and lead him to once again activating his yokai blood. It started with yokai groups testing his loyalty to the clan and him proving his blood was strong in his grandfather's ways to him accepting the mantle of heir, facing off a rebellious youth from a rival clan, and eventually training in a manner to learn the first and second levels of activating his “fear.” Fear is the culmination of respect, admiration, and intimidation that a yokai can instill in those around him, and Rikuo's is a fear that warms and inspires both yokai and humans making him extremely dangerous and powerful...though no where near as strong as he could be yet. During a clash with his family's greatest enemy he came across his true nemesis, Semeii, the son of a nine-tailed fox spirit who had cursed his grandfather and seen his father killed...who he has been preparing for his return from hell for the last two years.
When he turned fifteen he entered a new high school working on building his clan's fear and strengthening its members, while pushing for his agenda of integrating humans and yokai in a peaceful state of co-existence. It was there he was found by Nao Ishenkiou, a Geikousen, who was partnered with him saying they needed his power against those yokai who were evil. Needing allies for his own coming battle and still unable to create his own techniques of fear yet (those he learned having been trademarks of his father and grandfather) he has aligned the Nura Clan to their aid for the greater good.
~Weapon/Abilities~
Nenekirimaru (Reforged): Nenekirimaru is a legendary spiritual blade handed down through the line of Nurarihyon that denotes the transfer of power from the previous clan head to the next. It is a sword that was formed by a legendary monk/demon slayer whose forging ability was second to none and one of the only blades in existence that could harm yokai such as Hogomoro Kitsune and even Nurarihyon himself. The blade itself down not have any special attacks in its regular form; however, since its destruction two years ago it is said the blade's power is relative to Rikuo's growth. Whether or not a technique lies hidden within depends on its weilder.
Nura Clan Traditional Family Technique: Flying Yōkai Yakuza Kick (奴良家一子相伝フライング妖怪ヤクザキック, Nura-ke Isshisōden Furaingu Yōkai Yakuza Kikku) is a traditional technique of the Nura family which delivers a powerful kick to an opponent. It is sometimes performed in a roundhouse manner.
Meikyō Shisui (明鏡止水,Soul Mirror, Deadly Water) is Rikuo's hatsu technique. It makes the enemy unaware of his presence, even if they were looking straight at him; this allows him shift himself towards the enemy's blind spot. If Rikuo's fear is cut, the technique is dissipated.
Ougi Meikyō Shisui, "Sakura" (奥義・明鏡止水"桜",Secret Technique: Soul Mirror, Deadly Water - Cherry Blossoms) is a technique which utilizes superior yōkai sake poured into a large sakazuki cup. By blowing across the liquid, blue flames are produced which burn an opponent. These flames seem to spread according to his will, and can engulf multiple victims at once; they can also quickly incinerate low-level Yōkai almost instantly. So long as the water continues to ripple, the flames will continue until the opponent is reduced to ash.
Kyōka Suigetsu (鏡花水月,'Mirror Flower, Water Moon') is Rikuo's hyoui technique. It distorts an enemy's perception of him by creating an illusion akin to an afterimage. Those under the influence of the technique can be easily outmaneuvered by the one using it.
Matoi (鬼纏Demon(ic) Clad) is a technique also known as "demon clad". This technique is the accumulation of "fear" transferred from a Hyakki Yakō to its leader. It is only possible for a leader of part human part yōkai heritage, and it works by layering the fear of one's underlings on top of one's own. There are two known methods, and Rikuo has performed them with the following:
Zen - Using the Izutsu method, his fear coats Rikuo's sword with the poison of his wings. It is represented by a pair of wing-like black markings.
Tsurara - Using the Izutsu method, her fear coats Rikuo's sword in swirling patches of ice that freeze whatever they touch. It is represented by a pair of snowflake-shaped markings.
Itaku - Using the Izutsu method, his fear envelops Rikuo's sword and changes it into a larger version of Itaku's own scythe. It is represented by a pair of whirlwind-shaped swirl markings.
Kurotabō - Using the Kasane method, his fear envelops Rikuo like a kimono, giving him the ability to summon countless hidden weapons. Using the Izutsu method, a horde of weapons are shot at an opponent.
Shouei - Using the Izutsu method, his fear enlarges Rikuo's sword several times and has a large baboon claw holding the base of the blade.

The effervescent colors of the evening sky painted a moment of tranquility for the youth to reflect on the sudden transitions in his life that began with this first day; after all, he had dealt with exorcists before...but this Geikousen group was something he was completely unaware of. Things started during home room when Nao-san had been introduced to the class. Something about the young woman had set his senses off alarmingly. It was almost as if she could sense his yokai lineage and the power that was coursing through his veins despite being in his human form during the day!
When she came to that very roof earlier that day and attacked, she explained just how much of his aura she could sense. It was something that made the young quarter-yokai wary; however, when she explained she was simply testing his power he became a bit curious. It came down to explaining that a group of yokai exterminators, at least those yokai who were problematic to human life and safety, had their eye on the young yokai lord for his abilities...and so did other forces...
Nao-san had been brought over to introduce him to this society and their intentions, and Rikuo being the over annalytical soul he was, new there was more to things than he was being told initially. However, he had agreed to meet with her superiors to hear their ways and needs of him. Which brought him back from the retrospective thoughts, as a small smile cracked at his lips. Things would become very interesting once again.
