Another Day In The Sun

There were few days that the young teen could honestly find himself able to leave the Dojo premises, or not be involved in clan matters for that instance. For Rikuo it was a blessing of freedom being able to be a nameless face in a crowd of people unaware of him, or his life have.Currently he was dressed in something a bit more casual than most were used to seeing him in with a change in hairstyle to boot; the slender, yet athletic build of the male seemed to fit nicely under the form-hugging black t-shirt with complementing jeans. For once he chose not to wear those needless glasses, and took the back strands of his hair into a little rat tail intensifying the bangs over his eyes. 'I wonder would things have been easier if I were like them?'

It was during this train of thought that he came upon the young woman he was currently living with starring idly at the sweets in a local shop. A small smile planted itself across his face, as he walked up to the window looking at the owner from inside and behind her and then back to the girl in question. "If you want, I could treat you today."

{color=Violet]She jumped, he always seemed to appear out of nowhere. She turned around to face him now as she placed her hand against her chest."R-Rikuo-Sama!"She was getting ready to scold him, but his offer made the anger somewhat vanish. She shook her head lightly toward him, before turning and making her way down the street."I'm fine, I don't need sweets.."Though, inside she cursed at herself for not taking him up on the offer. Those eyes then lifted to watch the skies with interest and a pleasant smile fell upon her lip's. She had just been out for a stroll and enjoying the day off from school. Nao's hand raised to brush her slender fingers through her hair trying to keep it from smacking her in the face. She had hoped the boy would join her.[/color]

Suddenly, children would run passed her carrying a doll with them. The boys seemed to chuckle and laugh amongst themselves while a girl had fallen onto the ground. Letting out a whine and sniffle. Blinking, she made her way toward the girl and knelt infront of her."Are you alright?"She would gently pat the childs head before the girl explained with a pout."Those boys stole my doll..."She whined again only to have Nao stand and rush towards them. Her hand would snatch the doll in a quick motion."You need to be more polite...It's not right to steal."They would stick their tongue out at her."Mean, old hag!"Theyu called before running off. Her brow twitched in irritation."O-Old...Mean..Hag.."She felt heat rise in her face as she balled up her fists."I'll show you mean!"She called back.

She sighed and handed the girl her doll, she would pat the girls head and send her off.

Rikuo blinked slightly as he watched her jump yet again from his presence; it was truly becoming a running gag now. When she turned he offered her a pleasant smile that seemed to fall into a confused head tilt when she rejected his offer. Women were rather strange indeed. While she might have hoped for him to follow, the boy would simply slip off into the little sweetshop and seemingly vanish while she played hero. It was around the time that Nao had finished sending the little girl away with her returned toy, that Rikuo re-appeared with a soft blush staining his face. Ther scent of sweets would follow him as he got closer, holding out a bag of the treats she was starring at earlier.

"...Sometimes, it's okay to say what you really feel, Nao-chan. And that was very sweet of you to help that little girl." How long was he there? That's not something to dwell on, Rikuo had a way of being like the shadow in the night. "Mind if I join you now?"

While Nao was taking the bag from him, those eyes seemed to radiate an eager gentleness that hoped she would be happy with the contents within. He could see the momentary confusion in her eyes and it was evident in her voice; however, for now he was more than happy to follow her in silence. As she took his hand in hers, he could feel his heartbeat hasten as he looked around the various sights leading to the park. People in comfort casually moving about to enjoy the little things in life was a beautiful concept to the boy; concept, simply because he rarely had time to indulge in the smaller things in life. At least until he spent time with Nao.

Sitting under the oak with her, he simply smiled when she started speaking. "But Nao-san looked like she really wanted them, and it made you happy...so of course I had to." A small chuckle fell from his lips as he took a small stone and tossed it idly, only to find a piece of chocolate pressed to his lips by the beauty next to him. "N-n-nao-san!" Embarassed, a deep blush settled over him before he took the said bite with a soft murmur. It tasted much better coming from his crush...
